     Hey bears! It had been a while since I last bought a lipstick but the lip junkie that I am was intrigued by this new brand, Flower especially their lip products. And thank you for online shops, i got to hold on to one. This one in particular i got from Bon Marche for Php350. This online shop gives the cheapest price a product could get.

ON THE SPOTLIGHT: The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

     I had been eyeing this for months now. Why? Because it was love at first smell. LOL! My olfactory nerve loves it so much, my brain was aroused. What kept me from giving in was the price, i think its unreasonably overpriced for Php 695 a piece. I convinced myself that it will be on sale in no time and yes, i was right. The Body Shop always has their annual half the price sale.

     I've tried this already a couple times now, and still i'm obsessed with the smell. The smell lingers on my skin for a decent time but doesn't lasts all day like other body butters would. It's super thick so it really moisturizes your skin especially my skin. I'm suffering from a recent skin allergy and this body butter saves me from dry, flaky, gross skin. 

     What i hate? I'm not a fan of the sticky feeling it gives you after slathering onto your body. And when i say sticky, dang sticky! Maybe because it is still summer but i'll try to use it when the colder months is here. 

     Will i repurchase? NO. I mean it pretty much does what it suppose to do but I REALLY HATE THE STICKY FEEL it gives me. And i think other body butter brands would do the same minus the eeky feel to it.

May 2013 Favorites (Makeup, Beauty and Random Things)

May Favorites on the rocks.

     Hey guys! Sorry i'd been MIA for the last couple of months. There's a lot going on with my life since graduating from college. And now, I can finally blog again on a regular basis until the results of my board exams release, pray for me y'all (officially unemployed right now). I'm clueless what to blog about and since almost everyone's sharing their May favorites, i decided to do the same. Monthly favorites posts are my thing right now, i like to get nosy on what others been loving and read why they love specific products. So here are the products that made the past month extra special.

     

•      Soap and Glory's Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel - This has got to be made by  angels. It lathers easily and luxuriously. I love the scent that lingers on my skin even after rinsing it off. For the clarifying department, i give this 5 stars. Since it has a built-in body lotion, my skin's supple every after wash. I used this everyday for the month of May and boy, a little goes a long way. 

•       Soap and Glory's Shower Puff- This thing plus my shower gel works amazing. It's so dense that it will give thick lather in the shower. I tried it with all my shower gels and really works wonders. It's tighly packed so no worries of loose puff. 

•       Victoria's Secret Garden in Passsionate Kisses - I am not a big fan of VS products and believe it or not i found out about this when my good friend gave me one. At first, i was hesitant to try but one day i ran out of my perfume that i decided to give it a go and then the rest was history. I love how the scent stays on forever. By the way, this is my second bottle and it's a bonus that my boyfriend loves this too.

•      Careline Blush in Charming Pink - This matte blush gives a healthy flush on my cheeks without looking overly done and with the affordable price, what's not to love?

•      San San Eyeliner Pen in Black- I don't wear eyeliner everyday because i suck at doing it but when i feel like wearing it, i grabbed this baby. It's like using a mini marker that's very easy to use. After applying this product, it stays and won't go anywhere you won't like. 

•      Careline Concealer with Tea Tree Oil in Almond- I love this product so much the label faded already. When i read that it helps get rid of pimples, i was skeptic. I think it does really help reduce the size of your zit and conceals it. 

•      Nichido Spot Concealer in Neutral- I use this everyday in my lower waterline and voila instant eye brightness. The staying power though is not that good, maybe 4 hours max. 

•      Milani Shadow Wear Quad in Sedona Sunset- Last month, i had constantly used this everyday. It's so pigmented and gives a natural look. I have everything i need for my eyes with this quad.

•      Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana- An amazing product indeed! I love using this all over my face especially as a/an undereye highlight. Kept my face matte all day. 

•      Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara- What's my monthly favorites without a mascara? I just can't live without curling my eyelashes and putting on some mascara. And i am obsessed with this particular mascara for it gives length and holds my curl all day without smudging.

•      Garnier BB Eye Roll-on- BEST UNDEREYE CONCEALER EVER! If you can get hold on to this product, grab one immediately and then you'll see how much it will make a difference. I swear by it! This tube will last you for a long time. I have this since last year and still going.

•      Benefit Hoola Mini- This saved my face from being flat with no dimension. In times, where i just want to warm up my complexion, i just lightly dust it all over my face

•      Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait- MLBB kind of lipstick. The photo don't give justice but the lipstick has gold specks on it so if you apply it you don't need a gloss. It instantly makes your lips a little bit fuller. 

• Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart- If i wanted a pop of color on my face, i use this on its own or mostly topped with Peach Parfait. I love how it is so easy to apply, all the lip butters are, and also very moisturizing with a decent color pay off.      

•      Human Nature 100% Natural Moisturizing Night Cream with Plant Collagen- Collagen is good for your skin and yes, all natural baby. I love this product because it gives my skin all the love it needs at bedtime. One thing i don't like about it, is the smell when you first apply it. But the smell wears off so it's no biggie. Yay for supple skin the next day!

•      Mini Eiffel Tower- Random favorite, eh? But who wouldn't love this cute Eiffel Tower, right? Last month this had been on top of my desk and i love it so much. Someday i will see the real thing already not a mini one.

•      Colorful Skull Bracelet- This has been a mainstay on my wrist the past month. It transforms a dull outfit into a fun one. Imagine our skulls, this colorful.

March Collective Haul

      It was a fine day so i decided to go outside and take photos. My lil' sister helped me find beautiful spots at our pool side. Here are the things i accumulated for the month of March- from online shops, Sample Room and free product mailed to me.

      It's my first time to try things from Sample Room and these were the available ones i got. If you didn't know about this site, it gives free samples and even full size of just about everything from cosmetics to lifestyle products you might wanna try and test out. 

 CÉLETEQUE DermoScience™ Advanced Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleansing Oil and Make-Up Remover Cleansing FAcial Wipes

      I'm excited to try this out because i've used a lot of make-up remover oils but all of them gave me a greasy feeling after use and my hope's up for this one! 

C-Lium Fibre Capsule and Husk

     No, i'm not after the slimming effect but for the "good digestion" attribute of this product. I often get constipated due to stress and so i figured why not give this a try. I also gave my father and uncle samples for them to try out. 

Avon Anew Clinical Pro Line Corrector with A-F33

     Avon mailed this to me way back February, i think but just found out the parcel in March. My dad gave it to me and told why i kept on ignoring it. That's because i wasn't expecting it. I'm not sure if i want to try this, i might just give to my mum 'cause she's like the skin care goddess.

     I originally pre-ordered Soapers Heroes Gift Set but unfortunately all Boots Store didn't have stocks as what Ms. Jhanin of Jhasbeu Shoppe told me. And as a shower gel junkie, i opted to get the Clean On Me Shower Gel instead. I first found out about Soap and Glory through my cousin who lives in UK. I remembered loving the scent of S&G products.

     This other Soap and Glory product was bought at a different store. I originally pre-ordered S&G's Birthday Box but same as the reason above i didn't get what i want instead this. Whew! S&G products are always sold out. I can't wait to use this! 

Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder in Banana 3oz.

     Oh yes it is girls! The most talked about powder. I waited months to get hold onto this and finally! *insert happy song here* I was one of those girls who patiently waited for Digital Traincase to post stocks at Multiply. I think they still have stocks for they have more than a hundred for Banana 3oz and 1.5 oz. 

MeMeMe Beat the Blues in Sunbeam

     I didn't plan to get this one but i'm in a search for a good highlighter product and when i ordered the next picture Ms. Melanie of MakeupHolics told me that they offer free shipping for every 500php and above orders so i asked her what's the cheapest product she sells and boom! 

Tutti Bag in Vintage Sailor Print

     Yes, a non make-up buy! I just love things that looks vintage-y so when i saw this i didn't hesitate to get it. It's so pretty and very roomy for your things.

REVIEW : Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

 Sorry if i haven't posted any for quite some time. I've been busy with school, i'm a graduating nursing student this coming April. Yay for me! So much work to accomplish like graduation requirements, review for the upcoming June Nursing Licensure Exam and the likes.

And yes, i'm back for a quick review on the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara. I ran out of my Maybelline The Falsies and as you know me, Youtube videos AGAIN made me want to try this new mascara. Ingrid aka missglamorazzi, swears by this product.

    The packaging is so adorable, i like how smooth it is and it really reminds me of a rocket. I got the waterproof one just because i was thinking ahead (graduation day peeps, might cry). I saw the other kind with the pink wand but i'm not really sure what's the difference, i think the blue one is waterproof and the other isn't.

   When i first so the wand, Covergirl Lash Blast came into my mind because they both have the same size and both rubber-type bristles. It gets the right amount of product and there's no excess amount of product on the tip of the wand, which i like. I experienced that when i get too close on my waterline, it hurt a bit. Below are comparison on before and after application of the actual product. (Pardon my lashes as they are sparse and also my brows!)

     Throughout the day, i didn't experienced any smudging, flaking or any discomforts from this mascara. It really volumizes and lengthens the lashes. This has got to be my favorite mascara. I recommend this product but it is not yet available in our local Maybelline counters. I bought mine at Sophie J Fashionhouse (Cosmetics & Skincare). Hope you liked it. Comment below on what mascara is your current favorite. :)

UNBOXING/HAUL : Lorac Pro Palette and NARS Blush in Orgasm

         Sorry for being MIA, to be honest I don’t have a decent camera for blogging. I’m so frustrated for I have tons of products to share my thoughts about. I have accumulated a lot of products especially under the lip category- for the lip junkie that I am. For the past year, I added a lot of drugstore makeup products and so this year, I promised myself to try high end ones.

          So much for the blab, let’s get down to business. Last week I saw a post regarding Multiply’s discount codes which included a 20% discount on a single checkout for accumulated orders. I grabbed this chance to buy a high end palette and I was torn between Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Palette and The Lorac Pro Palette. Naked 2 has been on my wishlist for about 1 year already but last September 2012, Lorac came up with their newest palette. Judy of itsjudytime loved the palette and mentioned that it is better to get the Lorac Pro Palette than the Naked 2 Palette. I contemplated for a day on which to choose, I’ve watched videos on Youtube and read blogposts comparing the two palettes.

I browsed Multiply if sellers offer Lorac Pro Palette at a reasonable price and I came across STUFFINSTYLE. I checked if Naked 2 is also available but unfortunately it was sold out already. Because of this, I decided to buy Lorac Pro Palette rather than the Naked 2. My order should end with the purchase but I opened the NARS products from the same store and saw NARS Blush in Orgasm is available with only 1 stock left. Implulsiveness kicked in and pressed the buy button then checked out using the promo code as fast as I could so I won’t think twice.  

Two days after I paid, LBC informed me that my parcel was already available for pick up. I rushed at the LBC branch and so giddy to open my awaited stash. When I got home, I wanted to rip the cover instantly but my inner blogger shouted to do an unboxing blog with my low tech camera. 

I'm always thrilled when i see a package for me.
