ON THE SPOTLIGHT: Collection Colour Match Foundation Review

Next to lip products, i was excited to try Collection Colour Match Foundation. The product name itself will draw attention to anyone who reads it. If you follow my blog, you would know that I'm not a foundation junkie. I don't wear foundation in an everyday basis. More often than not, i will wear tinted moisturizer or none at all, just powder and concealer will do for me. Maybe i'm just lazy to put foundation on, that's why

Packaging? Oh boy! I have to say i'm impressed how they came up with the packaging. It has a frosted glass container and very sturdy. It contains 30ml of product. It comes with a pink pump dispenser so it nice and sanitary and a transparent pink lid. The pump dispense just the right amount of product unlike other which you're not in control with.

On the packaging labels:

" Colour Match Foundation reflects your natural tones.

With Skin Tone Technology that adapts to your skin colour.

Flawless, natural finish.

Oxygen Complex to let your skin breathe.

SPF 20. "

I got mine in (4) Natural.

Without makeup.

Consistency of product is not runny and not thick. Just in between.
Right side of face is with foundation.
Whole face is with foundation.
This foundation i say gives light to medium coverage. It didn't completely hide my blemishes and there was slight redness on my nose area. It has a dewy finish. When you smell the product from the bottle, it does smell slightly off but after applying it on your face you wouldn't smell anything bothering.  It is very lightweight and as if you didn't apply anything on your face. Super easy to blend using my Elf Flat Top Brush.

Flash Photography
This is the only downside to this product. Because it has SPF 20 it gives a white cast on flash photography. I advise using this during the day for protection from the sun and not when going to a night out.

Full face makeup
I didn't set the foundation with powder so i have dewiness on my nose area. No concealer was also used. I love how it really adapts to my skin tone. As you have noticed, the first photos of me , looked a shade lighter than my skin tone but after i finished my makeup, i was surprised to see that it adapted to my skin tone. This foundation changed my perspective, I will now use this everytime i'll do my makeup. I can't think of enough good things to say. So yeah, try it now!

ON THE SPOTLIGHT: Flower Beauty Lip Service Lip Butter in Sheer Snapdragon

Hey bears! It had been a while since I last bought a lipstick but the lip junkie that I am was intrigued by this new brand, Flower especially their lip products. And thank you for online shops, i got to hold on to one. This one in particular i got from Bon Marche for Php350. This online shop gives the cheapest price a product could get.

ON THE SPOTLIGHT: The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

I had been eyeing this for months now. Why? Because it was love at first smell. LOL! My olfactory nerve loves it so much, my brain was aroused. What kept me from giving in was the price, i think its unreasonably overpriced for Php 695 a piece. I convinced myself that it will be on sale in no time and yes, i was right. The Body Shop always has their annual half the price sale.

What the actual product look like.
How much product you'll get.
To whom is the product for.
More labels...
I've tried this already a couple times now, and still i'm obsessed with the smell. The smell lingers on my skin for a decent time but doesn't lasts all day like other body butters would. It's super thick so it really moisturizes your skin especially my skin. I'm suffering from a recent skin allergy and this body butter saves me from dry, flaky, gross skin.

What i hate? I'm not a fan of the sticky feeling it gives you after slathering onto your body. And when i say sticky, dang sticky! Maybe because it is still summer but i'll try to use it when the colder months is here.

Will i repurchase? NO. I mean it pretty much does what it suppose to do but I REALLY HATE THE STICKY FEEL it gives me. And i think other body butter brands would do the same minus the eeky feel to it.

REVIEW : Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

Sorry if i haven't posted any for quite some time. I've been busy with school, i'm a graduating nursing student this coming April. Yay for me! So much work to accomplish like graduation requirements, review for the upcoming June Nursing Licensure Exam and the likes.
And yes, i'm back for a quick review on the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara. I ran out of my Maybelline The Falsies and as you know me, Youtube videos AGAIN made me want to try this new mascara. Ingrid aka missglamorazzi, swears by this product.

The packaging is so adorable, i like how smooth it is and it really reminds me of a rocket. I got the waterproof one just because i was thinking ahead (graduation day peeps, might cry). I saw the other kind with the pink wand but i'm not really sure what's the difference, i think the blue one is waterproof and the other isn't.

Wand
When i first so the wand, Covergirl Lash Blast came into my mind because they both have the same size and both rubber-type bristles. It gets the right amount of product and there's no excess amount of product on the tip of the wand, which i like. I experienced that when i get too close on my waterline, it hurt a bit. Below are comparison on before and after application of the actual product. (Pardon my lashes as they are sparse and also my brows!)

Uncurled lashes

Curled lashes

One coat of The Rocket Mascara

Two coats of The Rocket

Throughout the day, i didn't experienced any smudging, flaking or any discomforts from this mascara. It really volumizes and lengthens the lashes. This has got to be my favorite mascara. I recommend this product but it is not yet available in our local Maybelline counters. I bought mine at Sophie J Fashionhouse (Cosmetics & Skincare). Hope you liked it. Comment below on what mascara is your current favorite. :)

REVIEW: CHARM Retractable Kabuki Brush in Gold

I have a huge love on makeup brushes so my Beauty Cosmetics' Flat Top Brush is always at my makeup bag. But i noticed that the shape of the brush was not as it was originally so i looked online how can my problem be solved. I found brush guard but i realized the brush handle is long that prohibits me to use smaller bags. That's when i came across Beauty and Minerals' Retractable Kabuki Brush in Gold.

It came with a pink box (but i left it at my dorm) and a guide on how to care for your brushes. After i cleaned my Kabuki Brush and dried, i used it immediately. Amazeballs, it is so soft and dense. Every bristle is designed not to make scratches. I used it with my 4u2 Lovelight BB Powder and i am so inlove this has never left my makeup bag.

I also found this trick that you could adjust how dense your brush would be. This is by adjusting using the metal in which the actual brush is covered, other than the lid itself. This brush is so versatile that it can apply powder, liquid and cream.powder blushes.

Ms. Sophie is so accommodating in answering questions regarding your order. I am sure this is not my first Charm brush. :)

REVIEW: Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine

Another product worth reviewing! I was so curious to try this because Fleur a.k.a. FleurDeForce in Youtube loves this especially the Jasmine one. And when i finally saw it online, i just had to buy it. Let's see, this one's my first Korres product that i own so far. The packaging looks very clean and a touch of girly vibe on it with the pink cap. And i like products that look so mysterious, plain and simple. The simplicity of the packaging was totally nothing compared to the actual product. It has a somewhat "cookies" smell on it that makes me want to always dig on it.

REVIEW : Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

(L-R) Honey, Sweetheart, Lovesick, Smitten, Romantic and Rendezvous.
Bought at Bon Marche / Kitshop.

From blogs to Youtube, gurus have been raving about this product. First time i saw one of these was at Judy a.k.a. ItsJudyTime. She did a first impression video (she's the best when it comes to first impressions) and i was hypnotized by the product. I've heard about Clinique Chubby Sticks and Tarte Lip Surgence, which were obviously high end brands. I'd never tried a lip stain before because of the fear of my lips drying and on the other hand through the years I had developed a love on lip balms. The first make-up i had used was lip balms especially the tinted ones. I don't want attention on my lips i just want to not look pale and add some color on my naturally pale lips.

So Revlon came with an ingenious idea to incorporate a stain and a lip balm. Giving you stained lips for hours without drying. There are 12 shades, a wide variety from everyday shades to bold lips for night outs. These chubby sticks look like a crayon and you don't need a big sharpener 'cause they're retractable.  It glides on the lips pretty smoothly but not waxy. The staying power is excellent, throughout the day i only reapply it once after eating but not necessarily because it wasn't there anymore. It has a minty smell and does have a tingling feel on the lips but fades quickly. I have 6 shades to review one by one but first i want to show you the dimensions from the container to how much the actual product in the container.
Approximately 4 1/2 inches or 115cm.

Actual product is approximately 30cm or 1.1 inches.
